Montefrio has a wide variety of accommodation particularly in the rented section from budget to luxury accommodation
Montefrio has one hotel – La Enrea.
We used this hotel for our wedding reception and have stayed in it a few times. It is a small locally run hotel created from a restored mill. The rooms are comfortable and the food is good.
Bed and Breakfast
Bed and Breakfast establishments are not so common in Spain but we know of one very good one. Friends of ours from Belgium run a comfortable B&B in their restored cortijo just outside Montefrio. We can personally vouch for the quality of their breakfasts and their welcome. Mark and Mady also run walking and cycling tours in the local area and as far afield as the Sierra Nevadas. Their website is here
There are many rental properties to choose from in Montefrio. Chech out the usual sources such as booking.com, airbnb, owners direct etc. Rental properties should have a certification from the Junta de Andalucia. This is your guarantee of certain required standards especially to do with safety and I would advise that you do not rent properties that do not have this certification. Monteftur provide licensed apartments in the town their website is here.
Montefrio does not have a campsite but there is a new one on the Lake at Iznajar which has good facilities. Their Camping Valdearenas Iznajar. We have not had any reports of the camping facilities although reports on the associated restaurant have been mixed.
La Dehesa is a 3 bedroomed property near Montefrio with pool and all rooms ensuite. Available through Rustic Blue Properties.
